Reviews Featuring William Shatner
Free Enterprise
This is a surprisingly amusing movie, quirky and full of absurdities. Ordinary audiences will find it funny – sci-fi fans will find it utterly hilarious. A romantic comedy for geeks.
Star Trek – DVD Movies Collection
From the dire 'Final Frontier’ to the outstanding ‘First Contact’, they’re all here – a complete collection that no Star Trek fan should be without.
Star Trek – The Motion Picture
Needless to say, this is a must-see for all Trekkers, however there is still decent family fun to be had from it and it hasn’t aged too badly. It also serves as a good introduction to the sequels that have followed, most of which outclass this one.
Star Trek II – The Wrath of Khan
Better than its predecessor, this is a significantly meatier film to get one’s teeth into and events proceed at a much better pace. Well worth the effort of seeing.
Star Trek III – The Search for Spock
This middle part of a story trilogy is not as strong as the films that precede and follow it, but it moves along with some pace and does succeed at staying on track.
Star Trek IV – The Voyage Home
A satisfactory conclusion to the trilogy arc that saw the Enterprise crew become fugitives, with occasionally corny humour.
Star Trek V – The Final Frontier
Almost universally considered to be the weakest of the Star Trek films, 'The Final Frontier’ is worth watching only by those who have watched the first four and need to see this one before continuing on to see the better movies which follow.
Star Trek VI – The Undiscovered Country
Superior in every way to 'The Final Frontier’, this film allowed the classic cast to retire with a bang and covered some key events in the development of the Star Trek universe.
Star Trek – Generations
Given the limitations placed on the film by what it has to achieve, it holds up reasonably well as a transitional story. Certainly worth seeing by Next Generation fans and by those who have watched the previous films.
Showtime
Why oh why do you do it, Robert?
Miss Congeniality
The story’s a load of Bull – but Sandra’s just about funny and likable enough to pull it off.
Osmosis Jones
This fast, sharp, mucous-coated comedy is definitely entertainment that’s not to be sneezed at.
Miss Congeniality 2: Armed and Fabulous
She might be armed, but there’s nothing fabulous about Agent Gracie Hart in this totally uncalled-for follow-up.
Boston Legal
"Denny, we look good, right?" "we look great."
