Every time I go to see an Eddie Murphy movie I pray that THIS is going to be the one I've been hoping for. The one I've been waiting for. The one that recaptures the magic of Beverly Hills Cop and propels Murphy back into the big-hitters league. You can't help but feel that Eddie himself is keeping his fingers crossed for exactly the same thing, only with a tad more desperation. We're both, of course, being totally naïve - it's just not going to happen.
It's Got: Gadgets galore. If you like that sort of thing.
It Needs: To have left the Cosby-Culp TV series well alone.
Alternatives: Beverly Hills Cop, Austin Powers, Spies Like Us.
Summary: I Spy with my little eye something beginning with "D". "Distinctly average movie".
