Aww, Hilary Duff - don'tcha just love her? Aside from being one of the Disney corporation's favourite puppets, she's got a knack for appearing in instantly-forgettable tween-coms and a penchant for harmless MTV-friendly rock music.
'A Cinderella Story' is the third movie of her's that I've reviewed over the past year or so. None of them have been any good, and none of that has been her fault. She's a likable performer, she does what she does well, and it's not difficult to see why - at just 16 years of age - she's already built up an impressive fanbase (not to mention, I assume, an even more impressive fortune). But puh-leeze, Hils, can you not try choosing to appear in a decent film for a change?
This one does exactly what it says on the tin. It takes 'Cinderella' and gives it a modern-day spin, casting Duff as the High School teen who's given a permanently hard time by her wicked botox-loving stepmother (Jennifer Coolidge) and two ugly sisters (Andrea Avery and Madeline Zima). You know the drill - stepmaw and the siblings-from-Hell have a whale of a time at our heroine's expense, sunbathing and synchronised-swimming (yes, really!) while poor Cinders is forced to scrub floors at the nearby diner.
Of course it's all change when the film's Prince Charming comes along in the form of football team hunk Austin (Chad Michael Murray). At first their relationship is strictly textual (that's right, it's 2004 so everyone's obsessed with mobile phones), but soon blossoms into something more when they meet at the school dance and she runs off before midnight without giving him as much as a snog.
The film could easily be a sequel to Duff's previous big-screen vehicle

It Needs: Duff's car to turn into a pumpkin.

| I don't like Hilary Duff. She is a bad actress because she only has played a nice girl who always lives happily ever after. I want to see her do somthing that has a different character. She is pretty and she seems ok but i personly don't think she should be famous for being "cute". She should be famous for being a good actress. I love Chad though!!!!! |

| I've watched the movie several times now. The characters portrayed in the movie remind me of some people in my life which is funny lolz. The actors and actresses in the movie especially CMM(Chad Michael Murray) are pretty good at what they do. Even though the actual story line is pretty boring, the way it's presented to the target audience (teenagers)is very interesting because the directors etc know how to get teenagers attentions. All in all i thought it was a pretty average movie... |

He's so hott in real life then he is in the magazines. Well I hope you all enjoyed the movie and I hope you will go see my up coming movie Raise Your Voice. | I really enjoyed the movie. It was funny, Romantic, sad and just a great script. I think they needed to have a more of a real feel to it like what they fit in in like 1 hour seemed like it should have been actually 2hours, so it needed more of a realistic side. I give it 8.5 out of 10 though. |

| I really think the movies "a cinderella story" was awesome. Hil and Chad fit there parts so perfectly. Yeh maybe it was a predictable movie but all together i loved it. I was like a fairy tale jus w/o the magic. Hilary is happy with what she is filming and she is a kid.. teenager lol and she has the right to do what she wants. | I think the movie was a wonderful movie, Both Hilary and Chad fit the parts perfectly. It was a very good movie, and I gotta give my props to the cast and crew, You all did Excellent! Good job. | i h8 the movie soooo much ...it was soo bad and emilee,,,stop acting like hilary duff..and ur only 11 man wen i was 11 i didnt think much bout boys.........i honestly thought it was so bad.firstly hilary duff can act,,,,and by the way i dont think hilaary or chad will come into this website,....they probably have betta things to do....but anyways...secondly y do u guys always sayoooo chad michael murray i love u sooo much im ur no 1 fan!!!man like u dont need to keep opn repetin it....and lAastly .....it was a faluire in the box office !!
