It's a crying shame that a film with as much going for it as 'Wicker Park' has been so poorly cast. It's a story that I would say is aimed at a fairly mature audience, but features a list of actors whose appeal is likely to be limited only to younger, mid-teen viewers. You've got Josh Hartnett, the cardboard-faced hero of rank-rotten rom-com
It's Got: Diane Kruger delivering the line "Take my picture - I feel beautiful tonight!" Modesty gets you everywhere.
It Needs: A considerably stronger cast. With the exception of Byrne - who's one to look out for in the future - this bunch struggle to pull it off.
Alternatives: L'Appartement, Go, Vanilla Sky
Summary: Expertly-directed but sadly mis-cast, this engaging romantic thriller brings us less a love triangle than a love dodecahedron - so make sure you're paying attention if you don't want to end up lost!

I agree that Diane Kruger was a bad choice, but I think Josh Hartnett did rather well. A great movie that really makes you think.

Confusing waste of time. Looks like everyone is into three affairs at once. Th eonly straight guy in the film lands up getting used.

Yuck. This film had so much potential, but something was just missing. I did not feel any compassion for any of the characters. I didn't find Hartnett's love-interest-Lisa, to be at all likeable. It was hard to understand why he was so obsessed with this woman.

I loved the film. The acting was great. The story line is complicated, but what film isn't. All the actors were amazing. I really liked the plot within the plot and the Shakespeare was nicely done. I give this film an A+!

Josh Hartnett and Lisa Krugar did a great job playing their roles in Wicker Park. Matthew Lillard was impressive considering he usually does comedy. Jessica Pare's only down fall would have been her acting in the airport scene at the end. Her character lacked true emotion. Rose Byrne perhaps not a good pick either. Her acting was weak or a little momotone from the beginning. The twists were great and I found the flash backs interesting and very easily followed. I would see another movie directed by Paul Mcguigan any day! Pearl Harbor was another great flick with a strong cast. There is nothing about the movie I didn't like. Gary Panton My Review: "your obviously an idiot not a movie critic" My Suggest: "Gary needs a day job."
