Rear Window Rear Window (1954)

Voyeurism at its most riveting (that's right - it's even more gripping than the live 24 hour coverage of 'I'm A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here!). 10/10

Leading the viewer up more than one garden path and forever haunting the corridors of the mind, this perplexing enigma is a labyrinth of chillingly perfect construction. 10/10
The Ring The Ring (2002)

Scarier than the Blair Witch Project. And that's saying something. You will never look at videos in quite the same way again.

Ringu Ringu (1998)

A marvellously made horror that's guaranteed to give you the willies. Watch it with the phone off the hook! 9/10
The Draughtsman's Contract The Draughtsman's Contract (1982)

Peter Greenaway's first feature film is arguably his best - in a seventeenth century English country garden, history and artful speculation are grafted in a murder mystery plot to yield strange, fertile fruits for the imagination, which will delight with their tart acerbity. 9/10
