Movie Gazette Newsfeeds
RSS Feeds
RSS is a Web content syndication format. Its name is an acronym for Really Simple Syndication Detailed Explanation.
If you want to take advantage of the hundreds of syndicated feeds available you will need a piece of software like AmphetaDesk, which is a free, cross platform, open-sourced, syndicated news aggregator - "it obediently sits on your desktop, downloads the latest news that interests you, and displays them in a quick and easy to use (and customizable!) webpage". Alternatives are Radio Userland and Fyuze. But our recommendation is that you install Mozilla Firebird. Firstly it is free. It is a superb web browser with pop up blocking and many other built in features but also offers a massive range of useful extensions, just one of which is its elegantly simple RSS reader as pictured on the lower left of the screen shot below.
Movie Gazette currently offers two RSS feeds.
Note that DVDs reviewed by Movie Gazette are usually R2 releases as supplied to the UK and cinema releases are also UK editions. Mostly US origin films reach the UK within two or three months of their release in the US, conversely UK, European and Asian films may be reviewed months or even years ahead of their release in the US.
Commercial Content Feeds
Movie Gazette can also supply commercial feeds fully tailored to suit a customer's house style and design. This allows cinemas and portals to integrate our premium content within their own site framework. Alternatively we can provide fully hosted solutions. An example is the children's film reviews site we serve for the leading UK home education site MuddlePuddle.
